About
Michael Hendricks focuses his practice on Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration, and Business Planning, bringing a steady, solutions-oriented approach to each client relationship. Drawing on both his professional background and personal experience, he helps individuals and families navigate pivotal moments with clarity and confidence. Whether assisting clients in planning for the birth of a child, launching a new business, or managing the complexities that follow the loss of a loved one, Mike is committed to ensuring that each client’s wishes are clearly defined and thoughtfully carried out. His goal is to provide not only sound legal guidance, but also peace of mind throughout the process.
Mike’s path to the legal profession is shaped by a strong foundation of leadership and service. He graduated from the United States Military Academy and was commissioned as an Air Defense Artillery Officer in the United States Army. During his military career, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, gaining valuable experience in high-stakes decision-making and disciplined leadership. While serving, he also earned a Master of Arts in Leadership from the University of Texas at El Paso. After completing his military service, Mike pursued his legal education at William & Mary Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor before entering private practice focused on estate planning and administration.
He resides in Williamsburg with his wife, Meg, and their daughter, and both are actively engaged in the broader community. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, weightlifting, and shooting sports, though much of his energy these days is devoted to keeping up with an adventurous and endlessly curious school-aged child.
Mike maintains active involvement in several professional and service organizations and has been recognized for his contributions within the legal field. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar's Trusts and Estates Section, the Williamsburg Bar Association, and the Old Dominion Bar Association. He has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine and is a member of WealthCounsel, a national network of estate planning attorneys. Mike is a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the West Point Society of Williamsburg. He is licensed to practice law in Virginia.
