Margaret O’Berry is an associate attorney working alongside Attorney Spencer Baxter, where she focuses her practice on Estate Planning and Estate Administration. She is dedicated to helping individuals and families create thoughtful, comprehensive plans designed to protect their assets and provide clarity for the future. Maggie approaches her work with a client centered mindset, guiding clients through each step of the process with care, attention to detail, and a commitment to making complex matters more approachable and understandable.

Maggie’s academic background reflects both intellectual curiosity and a well rounded perspective. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Washington and Lee University in 2021, with minors in German and Law, Justice, and Society. While at Washington and Lee, she was also a member of the Varsity Equestrian Team, demonstrating discipline, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2025. During law school, Maggie contributed to the ABA Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal, gaining experience in legal scholarship, and worked in the school’s Domestic Violence Clinic, where she developed hands on experience in client advocacy and supporting individuals through sensitive legal matters.

Originally from Virginia Beach, Maggie recently relocated to Richmond following her graduation from law school and enjoys getting to know her new city. Outside of her professional life, she values time spent with family and friends and takes advantage of opportunities to travel when she can. She also enjoys reading and spending time in the kitchen baking, activities that allow her to unwind and maintain a balanced lifestyle.

Maggie remains engaged in the professional community as she continues to build her practice. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar, where she participates in the Trusts and Estates Section as well as the Young Lawyers Section. She is also a member of Wealth Counsel, further supporting her development in estate planning and administration. Maggie is licensed to practice law in Virginia.
